Aluminum Awning Window – 350 Series – Thermally-Broken
The 350 Series window/ window wall system has been designed according to rain screen principles. This technology has become a standard in the water proofing of most types of building envelopes.
The system is heavily thermally broken with polyamide struts that are optimally located within the perimeter and sash framework to greatly limit conductive energy transfer and provide superior energy performance.
The entire system, including seals, barriers, corners and coupled connections, is sealed with durable gaskets and engineered to accommodate structural and wind load, inter-storey drift and seismic activity. Individual windows may move independently of not only each other, but also interfacing envelope materials and structural elements.
Critical barriers and pressure equalized cavities shed water and manage moisture, achieving the highest water resistance rating possible (720 Pascal referencing NAFS-17).
The compact T6 Aluminum 3 ½ inch main frame is ideal for retrofit and building envelope rehabilitation, minimizing cutbacks.
All models are tested and independently certified by QAI; a leading third-party testing, inspection and certification organization. The 350 Series windows are NAFS-17 compliant.
All 350 Series windows are interior glazed and face sealed with Vision Strip. The glazing bead is made of extruded aluminum, not vinyl, ensuring long term durability, performance and colour matching.
The heavily thermally broken aluminum frame provides superior thermal performance and energy savings.

Our standard high-performance Low-E insulating glass lowers energy costs, helps homes stay cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter, reducing the fading of interior furnishings and condensation. It also delivers greater visible light transmittance than tinted glass.
Add architectural interest to your windows with our divided lite options. These options include simulated divided lites (SDL) for an authentic look. They feature grilles that are permanently attached to both the interior and exterior glass and optional shadow bars that are placed between the two panes of insulating glass to provide design detail.
Grilles are available in 7/8″ widths in several grille patterns. These grilles are available in the color that matches the exterior color of the window you choose.
Safety Glass
Laminated glass is a type of safety glass that holds together when shattered. In the event of breaking, it is held in place by an interlayer, typically of polyvinyl butyral (PVB), between its two or more layers of glass. The interlayer keeps the layers of glass bonded even when broken, and its high strength prevents the glass from breaking up into large sharp pieces. This produces a characteristic “spider web” cracking pattern when the impact is not enough to completely pierce the glass. Laminated glass is normally used when there is a possibility of human impact or where the glass could fall.
Tempered glass is a type of safety glass that has increased strength and will usually shatter in small, rounded grains instead of jagged shards when broken. It is used when strength, thermal resistance and safety are important considerations. In residential applications it’s mainly found in bathrooms, patio doors and fixed lites adjacent to doors. Toughened glass is typically four to six times the strength of annealed glass.
Obscure Glass Options
Obscure glass is used primarily to obscure views while still allowing in light. These glass options are typically used in bathrooms and other rooms where privacy and light are desired.
Delta Sandblast Glass is a moderately obscure glass with raised lines that mimic the look of cracked ice on a frozen surface.
Satin is an obscure glass with moderate privacy that has a smooth, sating look.
Rain is a directional pattern that gives the appearance of a waterfall.
Pinhead Obscure Glass is the most common and economical option.
Flute Obscure Glass offers an obscured view with modern architectural appeal. This style is great for kitchens, laundry rooms, offices and any room where a stylish touch and light are wanted, but not full visibility.
