New windows can enhance both the interior and exterior aesthetic look of your home, virtually eliminate interior condensation, (and the subsequent prospect of mold), and increase the equity in your home.
There are some additional comfort benefits available to you though the newest of glass, frame and hardware technologies. These are typically discussed using terms such as STC Ratings,(Sound Transmission Class) SHGC (Solar Heat Gain Coefficient) SC (Shading Coefficient) U-Values (measurements of Heat retention in both Metric (W/K m2) and Imperial (BTU/hr-ft2-Deg.F).
To bring these more technical terms down to things which our customers can actually hear, see, touch and feel, we have equipped all of our Sales Consultants with the latest in demonstration devices. These devices have been designed to clearly SHOW you how your old existing single/double glazed windows compare with todays’ “customized living” windows.
Hear how intrusive sound can be better managed in those rooms where you need it.
See and feel how new glass types and frames can better control heat loss and how A1 was able to qualify it’s windows for Energy Star’s “Most Efficient Category”
See and feel how we can cool down your home in the Summer months, especially in those rooms with South and West exposures.
See how we are able to significantly reduce Ultra Violet light from entering your home, which helps protect your fabrics and flooring from fading.
See how we can add a measure of security to your home in areas where you might feel vulnerable.

Window Type: Ultra Series with 2 1/4″ renovation wider flange
Building Exterior: Chocolate brown stucco
When to use a wider flange: We went with our 2 ¼” Brickmould flange in our Ultra Series to match the already existing white trim around the exterior of the building. The unique details on our brickmould flange helps even out the solid look of the stucco. The final result, is an atheistically pleasing and eye catching home.
Remember to come visit our showroom at 8038 Glenwood Drive; centrally located off Marine in South Burnaby.
Sometimes our before and after pictures aren’t all that visually dramatic (other than the sunny day). For some home owners its all about preserving the heritage look while increasing the performance, comfort and operation of their windows.
Contained within the sealed doubled glazed unit, the 1/4 x 3/8 Dusty Grey / Pewter muntin bars mimic the look of the previous leaded glass. Cardinal Glass LowE 180 with Argon sealed units with the latest Endur spacer technology provides Energy Star level performance and durability. The new vinyl frames replace the old wooden sashes and roto-crank hardware replaces the old cam handles; providing a neat clean finish on the interior.
Oh, and did we mention that we didn’t install these windows?
While most homeowners find it more convenient to use our professional installation services we are also happy to help the confident DIY’er. Our friendly and knowledgeable staff will work you to achieve your vision. Come visit our showroom at 8038 Glenwood Drive; centrally located off Marine in South Burnaby.

When Our Lady of Mercy School in Burnaby was looking to replace their windows we’re quite sure they weren’t thinking “Raisin” and “Canary” . However, being able to choose from Benjamin Moore’s complete colour pallet, they were able to get a great match to the school colours. The new windows not only increase ventilation and provide more light they also create a much more vibrant exterior. Custom painted sealed units from Garibaldi Glass completed the look. When replacing heritage windows homeowners often find modern windows lack the features and styling that is found in heritage homes. Preserving character and complementing the existing architecture can be a challenge.
